CONFIRMATION / உறுதிபூசுதல்

1. Prior to his ascension into heaven, Jesus told his apostles that he would send them the Holy Spirit to be their advocate and guide, and on the Feast of Pentecost, the promised gift of the Holy Spirit fell on the apostles and the Virgin Mary as they prayed in the Upper Room, empowering them to be witnesses of Jesus in the world.

2. “The Sacrament of Confirmation perfects Baptismal grace; it is the sacrament which gives the Holy Spirit in order to root us more deeply in the divine filiation, incorporate us more firmly into Christ, strengthen our bond with the Church, associate us more closely with her mission, and help us to bear witness to the Christian faith in words accompanied by deeds.”

3. “Confirmation, like Baptism, imprints a spiritual mark or indelible character on the Christian’s soul; for this reason one can receive this sacrament only once in one’s life.”

4. Every year on 26th of January, confirmation will be given for those who have attended the confirmation preparatory classes

5. Documents Required :

   • Parish Family Card
   • Student Sunday Catechism Card
   • Baptism Certificate
   • First Holy Communion Certificate

6. Day of Confirmation Guidelines :

   • An unlit candle may be carried in the procession.
   • Students will be given a Mass book set from the Church.
   • There will be a few reserved seats for parents so come early!
   • Group pictures will be taken after Mass. Please do not take pictures during Mass. This is a sacred time and parish will have a photographer.

1. இயேசு சீடர்களை நோக்கி கூறியது ‘தூய ஆவியின் பெயரால் உங்களை அனுப்புகிறேன். அவர் உங்களை வழிநடத்துவார் . ” அன்று பெந்தகோஸ்து நாளின் போது அன்னை மரியாளின் மீதும் சீடர்கள் மீதும் மேல்மாடியில் இறங்கிய தூய ஆவி இவர்களை இயேசுவின் சாட்சிகளாக நிறுத்தியது.

2. திருமுழுக்கின் இரக்கமே உறுதிபூசுதல். நம்மை பரிசுத்த வாழ்வுக்கு அழைத்துச் செல்லும். ஒரு வேராக உறுதிபூசுதல் அமைகிறது. இயேசுவை அறிந்துக்கொள்ளவும் திருச்சபையுடன் நம்முடைய உறவை அதிகப் படுத்தவும் உதவுகிறது. கிறிஸ்துவ வாழ்வில் நம்பிக்கை கொள்ள இது தேவைப்படுகிறது.

3. உறுதிபூசுதல் திருமுழுக்கை போன்றதே. கிறிஸ்துவ ஆன்மாக்களின் அடையாளமாக எண்ணெய் பூசப்படுகிறது. நம் வாழ்வில் இந்த அருட்சாதனத்தை ஒருமுறை மட்டுமே பெற முடியும்.

4. எல்லா ஆண்டும் ஜனவரி மாதம் 26ம் நாள் இந்த அருட்சாதனம் வழங்கப்படும். கண்டிப்பாக இதற்கான வகுப்புகளில் மாணவர்கள் கலந்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

5. தேவையான சான்றிதழ்கள். :

   • பங்கு குடும்ப அட்டை
   • ஞாயிறு மறைகல்வி அட்டை
   • திருமுழுக்கு சான்றிதழ்
   • முதல் நற்கருனை (புதுநன்மை) சான்றிதழ்

6. உறுதிபூசுதல் பெறும் நாளில் கடைப்பிடிக்க வேண்டியவை:

   • கையில் மெழுகுதிரி ஏந்தி பவனியாக வருதல்
   • திருப்பலி புத்தகங்களை பிள்ளைகள் கொண்டுவருதல்
   • பெற்றோர்களுக்கு ஒதுக்கப்பட்ட இருக்கைகளில் சீக்கிரமாக வந்து அமர்தல்
   • திருப்பலி நேரத்தில் கண்டிப்பாக புகைப்படம் எடுக்க அனுமதி இல்லை. பங்குத்தந்தை சார்பாக ஒருவரால் மட்டும் புகைப்படும் எடுக்க அனுமதி. திருப்பலி முடிந்தவுடன் குழுவாக புகைப்படும் எடுத்துக் கொள்ளலாம்.
